Dublin Marriage Records

Dublin Marriage License Process
Dublin residents apply for marriage licenses at the Franklin County Probate Court Marriage Department. The office is at 373 South High Street on the 23rd Floor in Columbus. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The last marriage license is issued at 4:00 PM, and both parties must be present at that time.
All applicants must complete the online application before they show up in person. Applications are only valid for 30 days, so do not fill it out too far ahead of your visit. The license fee is $65.00. You can pay with cash or by credit or debit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover). A separate 3% service charge applies to card payments. There is no waiting period. After the application is accepted, you get the license right away, and it is good for 60 days per ORC Chapter 3101.
Both people need valid photo ID. If either person was married before, bring a certified copy of the divorce decree or death certificate. Both applicants must be at least 18. The drive from Dublin to the courthouse in downtown Columbus takes about 20 minutes on I-270 and I-71.

How to Search Dublin Marriage Records
The Franklin County Probate Court has an online Marriage License Index that covers records from January 3, 1995, to the present. You can search by the name of one of the parties and the marriage date. Marriage records from 1803 through 1994 are available at the Probate Court in person only. Electronic images are available on most filings received after August 2, 1998.
The court also maintains birth and death records for Franklin County from 1867 through 1908. For certified copies of Dublin marriage records, the cost is $1.00 per page for certified copies. Regular copies are $0.10 per page, and copies on CD are $1.00 per CD. You can pick up copies in person or request them by mail.
Under ORC 149.43, all marriage records in Ohio are public. Anyone can request access without giving a reason. The Probate Court must make records available during normal business hours. You can also email the Marriage Department at marriage@franklincountyohio.gov with your request.
